EU Twinning: 1st Steering Committee Meeting successfully held


Today, on 12th November 2020, the Twinning Project Steering Committee (PSC) members gathered in an on-line meeting held with simultaneous interpretation.

The objective of this first PSC meeting was to approve the initial/rolling work plan, including time table and budget, as well as the communication and visibility plan. The participants were also informed about the indicative mission plan to be implemented.

The meeting was chaired by the two Project Leaders, Ms. Sonja Schalud from Austria and the beneficiary Project Leader, Dr. Ion Perju, the Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment of the Republic of Moldova.

Dr. Perju mentioned the importance of this project in the light of the EU harmonization process and expressed his wish that all the institutions involved in the project implementation process shall take every effort so that the project is performed as qualitatively as possible.

The Initial Work Plan as well as the Communication and Visibility Plan were both approved by the members of the Steering Committee - the actual implementation will start next week addressing food safety regulations.

Next PSC meeting is planned to take place in February 2021.

The implementation of the project is possible due to the financial support of EU.
