Study visit of Moldovan experts from the Agency for Intervention and Payment in Agriculture (AIPA) to Austria organised under the Twinning Project MD 14 ENI AG 01 16

The last Study Visit under the Twinning Project “Capacity building of the Moldovan Agency for Intervention and Payment in Agriculture (AIPA) for the application of EU norms and standards for the administration of ARD support schemes" was performed from Monday, 8th October until Friday, 12th October 2018.

During this visit to Austria, the experts from AIPA received detailed information in the field of organic farming, innovation and diversification in the Austrian agriculture.

On the first day, the experts got an overview of the structure, tasks and activities of the company Bio Austria. The second day was dedicated to present the Austrian Rural Development Programme as well as the Austrian quality programs on food at the Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism.

The visitors program further included 2 days of field trip to different organisations and farms at Lower Austria as Waldland, Sonnentor, Farm “Ramswirt” and Babiol. The participants also received detailed information about the agricultural school system in Austria at Edelhof.
