AMA’s International Cooperation

As the institution responsible for the agriculture and environment of a small, mountainous country with valuable national resources, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management supports the idea of an eco-friendly, multi-functional and sustainable agriculture.
Our policy approach has become a role model for many European countries, not only for EU Member States but also for many countries who are working hard to set up the necessary administrative framework to join the EU one day. Our aim is to strongly support these future member states and provide comprehensive technical support on an expert level.
The International Cooperation (IC-AMA) offers advice and support to candidate and potential candidate countries throughout their accession process to the European Union.
AMA is a modern and efficient public administration with professional experience, responsible for the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the EU in Austria.
AMA’s International Cooperation as part of the "Central Services" offers all the expertise of the Austrian Agricultural and Rural Development administration and primarily implements Twinning projects together with Member State partner countries.
