EU Twinning: 2nd Steering Committee Meeting successfully held

The Twinning Project Steering Committee (PSC) members gathered in an on-line meeting held with simultaneous interpretation on 18^th February 2021.

The meeting was chaired by the two Project Leaders, Ms. Sonja Schalud from Agrarmarkt Austria, Austria and the beneficiary Project Leader, Dr. Ion Perju, the Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment of the Republic of Moldova.

The objective of this second Steering Committee meeting was to give an overview on the activities implemented in the Reporting Period 1 and its result achieved.

The participants were also informed about the indicative mission plan on activities to be implemented during the next six months. Furthermore, the allocation and use of human resources as well as the recommendations provided by the EU member state twinning experts were presented.

Pending issues on the preparation of the NARDS 2030, the National Strategy and Program on Agriculture and Rural Development, to be developed following the EU methodology on the preparation of CAP strategic plans (as proposed by the Twinning experts), were openly discussed and clarified.

By the end of the meeting, the members of the SCM approved both important key documents, the rolling work plan, including timetable and budget and the First Quarterly Report including the expenditure budget.

The next PSC meeting III will take place on May 27^th, 2021.
