How we work

AMA’s International Cooperation

Our ultimate aim is to offer administrative support of the highest quality to beneficiary countries.

Alongside professional project management, our success is built on 3 main pillars:

1. Professional experts

Thanks to our long and intensive experience in the implementation of Twinning projects we have gathered a huge pool of experts in all fields of agricultural and rural development administration.

Our experts come primarily from our own organization (AMA), from related institutions in Austria such as the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management and the Federal Institute of Agricultural Economics, Rural and Mountain Research and of course, from our partners in the different Twinning consortiums. Last but not least we can offer experts from related institutions from (almost) all new member states, with which we have established excellent working relationships.

The profile of our experts consist of knowledge, experience, flexibility, team orientation and personal responsibility.

2. Cooperation only with highly accepted and recognized member state institutions

As a matter of principle we cooperate only with highly recognized institutions from related state administrations. All of our partner institutions have long-term experience in public administration and have gained significant experience during and subsequent to the accession process.

3. Intensive partnership cooperation and support of beneficiaries

Twinning means partnership cooperation. It is not our approach to simply transfer our administrative system to the beneficiaries – instead, we try to work together with them to find solutions and administrative processes. Our approach may be more demanding for the beneficiaries but definitely pays off in the end when it comes to project ownership and project sustainability.

Our aim is for the beneficiaries to become self-reliant.
